3 Thoughtful Mother’s Day Gifts for Every Budget 2021

We all know how important Mother’s Day is to us mums. (And if you haven’t realised that yet, take note!) Becoming a mother is a huge moment in life and it absolutely deserves to be celebrated. (Don’t worry Dads, you’ll get your time!) Whether you’re buying for your mum or for your partner on behalf of the kids (or bump!), I’ve got you covered with three thoughtful Mother’s Day gifts for every budget! Enjoy – and let me know what you think!

The Best Mother’s Day Gifts for Under £10

1. Give her something sweet

I love how some things are able to take your mind back to a moment in time and, for me, liquorice gives me all the fuzzy feels for happier days gone by. Eat Liquorice, with their huge range of liquorice and retro sweets will bring back some wonderful nostalgia for the mum in your life – as well as fulfilling that sweet tooth. They’ve also got sugar free, gluten free and vegan sweets available so there really is something for everyone. You can pick and mix all her favourites from just £3.50.

2. A little something made with love

What mum doesn’t love personalised, handmade gifts from their children or grandchildren? This Mother’s Day craft box is a great idea as it doubles up as a fun activity for the kids beforehand too. Check out Baby Prints Cheltenham on Facebook for more info.

The Best Mother’s Day Gifts for Under £100

1. A box of chocolates? Hold my beer.

Whether she’s got a sweet tooth, or prefers something savoury, we have some fantastic local businesses here in Gloucestershire offering the most delicious edible treats straight to your door. Check out these gift-worthy, mouth-watering grazing boxes from Graze and Glory:

2. Clothes for those manic mumdays

Why not get her something she can wear with pride every day while she rocks being a mum? Elly and Peg is a brand new Gloucester-based business that’s doing amazing things for the fun-loving mums of the world. There’s loads of options, but these are my personal favourites:

3. Get hands on with a workshop

Sometimes the best gifts are the ones you get to make yourself, so why not gift the mum in your life some crafty (aka some child-free!) time? We’ve got some great businesses local to Gloucestershire offering workshops such as Dixie Dot Crafts’ Pizza and Pottery nights or WMMSilver sessions where you get to make your own silver jewellery. It might be a little while before she can enjoy these in person, so if you’d prefer something tangible you can gift now, check out Dixie Dot Crafts for pottery painting kits or EW Pourz (Sorry no longer available!) for some paint pouring fun at home.

The Best Luxury Mother’s Day Gifts

1. For the mum who needs to unwind

We all know spa days are great Mother’s Day gifts to give someone who needs some relaxation time (er, all Mums then?!), but how about gifting something a bit different? Float in the Forest provides a unique, deep relaxation experience that can improve your health and provide pain relief – and is perfect for mamas-to-be looking to take the weight off for a long, relaxing while! I’ve put this in the £££s category because it’s always nice to share these experiences with a friend, however you can gift a single float for just £50.

2. The ultimate gift for the tired mum

Being a mum is exhausting. And in 2020… er 2021 (it all feels the same now, doesn’t it?), all that mumming along with the pressures of COVID and homeschooling, mean that she definitely deserves a break. And although she might need to wait a little while for this gift, she’ll love you for it. One of the best treats my hubby has given me over the years is a hotel stay. On. My. Own. Yep. A full night’s sleep and breakfast in peace. You may get some extra brownie points for two nights/and or a spa hotel with a treatment or two…

3. Give the gift of everlasting memories

I bet there’s not a mum out there who wouldn’t be delighted with a photograph of all her loved ones together. But, this Mother’s Day, I encourage you to think what your mum or partner would love but maybe they wouldn’t actually treat themselves to. If she’s a mum-to-be, a maternity photoshoot is a fantastic gift that she can treasure forever, because as much as she might moan about pregnancy now, she’ll miss that bump one day. There’s no love like that of a mother; let her capture that bond with her children with a precious ‘Mummy and Me‘ photoshoot or, if her children are older, ‘The Magic of Mums‘ experience is one not to be missed. Get in touch to book some magical Mother’s Day gifts for your mum/partner today.

Fantastic experience! I took my family for a shoot with Katie & she was amazing from start to finish. My toddler was a terror and my daughter a diva but some how she worked her magic and we have beautiful digital photos, prints and a lovely big frame for the wall. We had a lovely viewing where we were able to select the photos we wanted, we couldn’t possibly chose from them so we bought them all! 🙂 She made us all feel very welcome and my children and even my husband enjoyed the experience. Highly recommend! I will be back for more photos as my family grow. Thank you Katie
